Q: What is Reiki?
A: Reiki (pronounced ray-key), is a Japanese, word meaning Universal Life Force Energy. It is a form of healing that is completely unconditional. It is a powerful yet simple form of hands on healing, which activates the natural healing abilities of our body. It works to bring about a balance within the whole person. Reiki is a non-manipulative treatment. It does not involve massage, but is carried out by the laying of hands on or above the body, through the client’s clothes.

This is not to treat the illness - but to treat the whole person. I support people through illness and stressful situations and in turn offer-

Treatment - 1 hour can be performed sitting or lying down.

Q: What is Indian Head Massage?
A: This therapy has been practised in India for over 1,000 years. It stimulates the circulation, to improve blood flow, which increases nutrients to the head. This has been found to promote hair growth and improve the condition of the hair and scalp. It has been found that people from India have much thicker hair and that it does not go grey as that of inhabitants in the western world. It can also eliminate muscle tension, bringing about a feeling of relaxation and well-being.

The massage includes the shoulders, neck, scalp and face. It helps to relieve tension in the neck and shoulders. Helps loosen scalp muscles.

Treatment - 45 minutes. Oils are not used, although coconut oil can be applied to the hair at the end of the treatment if wished.

Q: What are Hopi Ear Candles?
A: A very relaxing, calming treatment.

Treatment - 30 minutes and includes a head massage.

Q: What is Reflexology?
A: This treatment is over 5,000 years old, its origins having been found in China and Egypt. Reflexology is a simple, effective and holistic therapy, which focuses on the feet and hands. Every part of the body has reflex points that correspond to parts on the feet and hands. By massaging these points it stimulates the body’s own balancing and healing systems, thereby treating the whole person. This is not to treat the illness but to treat the person - to support through illness and stressful situations . To look at someone holistically, by helping these areas you also help with the ability to cope with their illness/problem which in turn helps their perception of the illness.
